Yep! These are the ones. July 25, 2010 Stanley Zimmerman I got one red and one green band for a modest price with free shipping. I am a typical older guy (76) who has zoned in and out on exercise, stretching (a bit) and healthy eating (portion control) since retirement. The bands are handy to carry around, even in my pocket, or to pack when I travel. I have used them with satisfaction along with cardiovascular work at the gym, to warm up before duffer tennis and at home for wakeup routines. When (and if) they wear out, I'll be happy to purchase another set. My one complaint: results come only with use. They are not self implementing.
Great Product April 16, 2010 Tim R. Niles (Silicon Valley) I've bought a dozen of these Therabands over the years and they work great. I use them for shoulder and left knee PT.
Cheap. Effective. April 15, 2010 weekend warrior 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
This is a simple product- strips of latex of varying resistances. I've personally used the green to rehab my rotator cuff, but with a little creativity, you can exercise just about any muscle group with this stuff. I'd suggest getting the yellow and red, and then seeing where you're at- the green is getting up there, and the blue is pretty darn tough to do.
Get more than one color if you can afford it, because sooner or later, the color you are using will get too easy for you and you'll want to move up to a stronger band to keep getting stronger. Also recommend Treat Your Own Tennis Elbow if you suffer from tennis elbow.
Excellent resistance March 15, 2010 SD (New York, NY United States) I got the red resistance bad and I am very very happy with it. I wasn't sure how strong the resistance will be but it was just right! The only thing I would wish for is that it is longer. I am 5'4" and I find it a bit short for comfort when I do shoulder presses. But other then that I highly recommend it.
EA Sports Active owners : Go ABOVE medium! January 28, 2010 Pedro Martinez (IL) 7 out of 11 found this review helpful
For anyone looking for a replacement band for EA Sports: Active, keep in mind that the band the game comes with is about on par with Thera-Band's "Medium" (Red) rating. In all honesty, you should get either black or gold (hardest) bands, as the medium band isn't going to be terribly useful for most people. Basically, if it feels like the band exercises are way too easy, and you're coming here for a step up, go as high as you can, and worst-case, pick up the hardest and second-hardest bands.
If you're here because your band broke and are fine with the strength level of the band that came with, go red, it's nearly identical.
